“The Devil Wears Prada 2” Is Officially in Production And the Costumes Are Everything

Anne Hathaway. Meryl Streep. 20 years later. The fashion storm has returned.
Miranda Priestly didn’t just walk back into the room she stormed it.
The long-awaited sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is officially in production, and from what we’ve seen on the New York set, the film is already shaping up to be this decade’s most fashion forward cultural reset. Returning stars Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep are back in full sartorial power, joined by Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, with newcomers including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, Simone Ashley, and Pauline Chalamet.
Directed once again by David Frankel, the film is slated for release in May 2026. But while we wait, the real show is happening behind the scenes and every look so far is delivering pure fashion fantasy.
Andi Sachs 2.0
Hathaway’s wardrobe pays homage to her character’s evolved fashion identity, mixing archival tailoring with contemporary ease. Spotted looks include:
- A Jean Paul Gaultier Femme pinstripe waistcoat and trousers paired with a vintage Coach Saddle Pouch and Jemma Wynne diamond necklace.

- A more casual take: Toteme tank, Agolde denim maxi skirt, and Re/Done jumpsuit with Chanel sandals and Valentino’s Panthea bag.

- Her glam-meets-street edge is back, proving once again why Andi Sachs is a timeless muse.

Miranda, Still Ice Cold Still Iconic
Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly has evolved, but her luxurious minimalism remains intact:
- Spotted wearing Briony Raymond’s oversized cobalt jewels and diamond rings.

- Power dressing redefined with the Gabriela Hearst Manuela skirt still commanding, still crisp.

Whether in Midtown, downtown, or Chelsea, the duo are giving fashion fans everything they hoped for and more.
