Lacoste Brings The French Wave to Bali’s The Lawn Canggu

A month-long celebration of Riviera elegance meets tropical spirit

This summer, Lacoste takes over The Lawn Canggu, Bali with The French Wave, a month-long experience that brings the charm of the French Riviera to the island’s iconic beach club. From July 23 to August 22, the French fashion house reimagines the coastal lifestyle through cinema, design, and sun-soaked leisure infused with tropical warmth.

The grand opening, Lacoste Summer Premiere, transformed The Lawn into an open-air seaside cinema. Guests strolled down a green Lacoste carpet before settling into beachside seats to watch Jacques Rozier’s 1958 classic Blue Jeans a cinematic homage to the French New Wave and the eternal romance of summer along the Côte d’Azur.

The evening was brought to life with retro-inspired canapés, Lacoste-branded delights, and DJ sets that captured the effortless spirit of a Riviera soirée.

One of the most striking highlights was a six-meter-long Lacoste crocodile installation, crafted entirely from woven leaves by Bali-based creative studio Make a Scene. This monumental piece symbolized the meeting of cultures: the brand’s iconic logo intertwined with Balinese craftsmanship and nature.

The event drew a dynamic crowd of fashion enthusiasts and creators from across Southeast Asia. Indonesian style figures Elizabeth & Agnes Rahajeng, Debi Sagita, and Marco Ivano mingled with international names including Bela Padilla, Max Collins, Daniel Peters & Patricia Henson (Philippines), Eyka Farhana (Malaysia), Glenn Yong & Yaung (Singapore), and Liên Binh Phát & Ky Duyen (Vietnam). Each guest embraced Lacoste’s signature effortless summer aesthetic, embodying its blend of sport, elegance, and joie de vivre.

Beyond the premiere night, the celebration continued with the Lacoste Zone a Riviera-inspired activation within The Lawn. Guests could lounge on Lacoste sunbeds beneath branded parasols, play interactive beach paddle games, and indulge in whimsical crocodile-shaped popsicles served from a retro ice cream cart every Friday.

With its seamless mix of French elegance and Balinese vibrancy, The French Wave isn’t just a takeover it’s a celebration of summer, style, and creativity that lingers long after the sun sets.
